I love to travel with Nikon in hand to capture and preserve a few of life's memories.
I am a photographer, living in Houston, Texas. My current profession involves working in the field of biomedical research ethics and regulations. Two of my greatest passions in life are international travel and capturing my views of the world through photography. In my free time, I study languages and cultures to prepare for my travels. I am an experienced and agile traveler who takes yearly trips to Europe and I speak Spanish, French and Italian. I lived and traveled in Guatemala for four years and have also traveled extensively in Honduras.
I continually study the techniques used in digital photography imaging and processing to further develop my skills. Subjects of my photography include landscapes, still life, and people as representations of the cultures and places I visit. My photographic talents and style are particularly evident in my unique compositions of vivid landscapes, as well as everyday objects such a bicycles, park benches, sculptures, and architecture. I especially enjoy capturing images using existing natural light from the surroundings. I am also branching out into portraiture photography.
My most recent destinations include Nice, Cannes, Paris, Marseille, Avignon, Nîmes, and Les Gorges du Verdon. I have also traveled to Rome, Sicily, Venice, Sorrento, Naples, the Cinque Terra, Barcelona, Madrid, Amsterdam, Normandy, and Switzerland. I initiate and take my travel adventures often on my own, but have also traveled with my sister, nephew and numerous friends. Future trips with my family and friends are currently in the planning stages.
